Member driven. Peer Led. Your day. Your way.

Our program is like an office and like a student center at a college -  all rolled up into one.
It is a SAFE place to hang out, meet friends, and to learn and try new things.
If you can dream it, we will help you figure out the next steps.....

IF YOU FEEL THERE IS A GAP IN SERVICES BETWEEN HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION AND ADULT SUPPORTS, you are not wrong.

Typical students and students with special needs often need additional support with college and career experience and life skills.

Maybe people know they want to go college, maybe not.  Maybe you had an IEP. Maybe a 504. Maybe you just made it through high school - the struggle is real! WHAT NEXT?

Applications are looooong and overwhelming. Interviews can be daunting. Parents are pushing college, but you aren't sure the traditional campus is right for you, or if you even are ready for 4 more years of school??? You are NOT alone!

Or, you have been out of school for a few years, but you don't feel like you are going anywhere, and you need some support with this whole 'adulting' thing.

StarThrower Group is an organization designed for career support, service opportunities, and community connections - providing help and support for the first years after high school. Young adults come together to plan events and services for the community based on their interests and skills.

WE LOVE NEURODIVERSITY. YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO!

We partner with area colleges and community organizations to provide peer mentoring and career training to help young adults get a strong foundation in adult life.

We will work with support coordinators and DDD (Division of Developmental Disabilities) and DVRS (Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Services) to provide options and opportunities for those with special needs after graduation with continuing education, skills training, and career supports that allow for independence and self-advocacy and expression that is not usually permitted or expected by agencies or day programs.

Most importantly, we work with YOU to set goals, measure outcomes, and consider every path to find the one that is right for your journey in life. You may have been told you can't work or go to college or live alone, but if you are looking for independence, we will help you develop it and create the schedule and balance you desire, based on your interests and skills.

It isn't just about finding a job. It's about finding your life.
