What is WDVR worth to you?
As you may already know, WDVR is a non-profit community radio station with no government or corporate sponsorship. Therefore, we must rely solely on our listeners for funding. While we do have an all-volunteer on-air staff of 50+ individuals, we still have many expenses which we think it would be wise to itemize since you deserve to know where your donations go.
These expenses include (1) maintenance of the station & transmitter sites; (2) equipment updating & replacement; (3) fees for licenses/subscriptions/software for airing & streaming music; (4) hefty utility bills; and (5) costs for contracted goods & services.
This is why we come to you twice each year, asking for your support in gratitude for WDVR being an enriching part of your life.
WDVR strongly encourages our supporters to utilize our online methods of donating using our website. This allows you to let us know who your favorite shows are, or to make your donation in honor or memory of a loved one, or just a general message. When you do, the on-air host sees this as well as our office staff. This method not only saves you time and postage, but also saves costs for WDVR, allowing us to use your donation to its full potential.
However, we appreciate any method you feel most comfortable utilizing. You are always welcome to stop in and drop off your donation and you will get a tour of our facilities!
Please consider generously supporting WDVR today and ensuring the continuation of “Good Music, Good Conversation and Good Company.”
Our gratitude to you, our faithful listeners, is limitless!
