WDVR Mobile App Privacy Policy

WDVR ("we," "us," or "our") operates the WDVR mobile app (the "App"), a companion app for WDVR 89.7 FM, a listener-supported, non-commercial community radio station operated by Penn-Jersey Educational Radio, a New Jersey 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. This policy explains what information the App does and does not collect.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data through the App. The App does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party tracking software.

Information Processed to Provide the Service

To stream the station and show what's currently playing, the App connects directly to WDVR's streaming server. This is standard internet traffic — like any connection to a website or streaming service, it involves your device's IP address and basic technical information (device type, app version), which is used only to deliver the audio stream and is not linked to your identity or retained by us.

Links to Other Services

The App links out to a few external services that operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:

  • Donations: Tapping "Donate" opens Givebutter (givebutter.com), a third-party donation platform. Any payment or personal information you provide there is collected and processed by Givebutter, not by WDVR's App.

  • Website: Links to wdvrfm.org open in your device's browser and are subject to that site's practices.

  • Email, phone, and maps: Buttons for emailing, calling, or getting directions to the station open your device's own Mail, Phone, or Maps app. We do not see or store anything you send through those apps.

Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for a general, family audience but is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, through the App.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
